Joan M. Walston, 73

Joan Marie Walston, 73, of Loveland, Colo., passed away Sept. 20, 2011, at Pathways Hospice Care Center.

Joan was born to Henry and Ina (Wheeler) Travis May 20, 1938, in Montgomery County. She lived in Iowa for many years before moving to Loveland in 1969.

She married Elmer Walston Oct. 7, 1953, in Corning.

Joan worked at HP for 12 years and owned Classic Furniture from 1991-1995.

She enjoyed water aerobics and loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Joan was active in gathering information on her family history.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; three sisters; and grandson, Cory.

Joan is survived by her husband, Elmer Walston, of Loveland; son, Rick (Karen) Walston, of Wellington, Colo.; daughters, Cindy (Jay) Muir, of Corvallis, Ore., and Joni (Scott) Wagner, of Loveland; sister, Cleo (Boyd) Fudge, of Corning; grandchildren, Wendy, Randy, Briana, Sara, Jonathan and Brandi; great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Gavin, Taylor, Abbey and Avery.

Memorial services took place Friday, Sept. 23, at Viegut Funeral Home. Memorials may be sent to Pathways Hospice in care of Viegut Funeral Home.
