Joey Jackson, 43

Joey Shea Jackson, 43, Omaha, died Saturday, June 7, 2014, after a long battle with cancer.

Joey was born Aug. 22, 1970, in St. Paul, Neb.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Bailey and Scott Gibson of Grand Island, Neb.; sons, Devon Rupp and Sterling Rupp of Omaha; father and step-mother, Ray and Stephanie Jackson of Climax Springs, Mo.; mother, Yvonne Jackson of Kansas City; sister, Andrea Jackson of Kansas City; and grandmothers, Dolores (Dee) Jackson of Red Oak and Jane Laughrey of St. Paul, Neb.

The family of Joey Shea Jackson is planning a celebration of life open house Saturday, June 28, 2014, from 1-4 p.m, at 1311 S. 165th St., Omaha. The scattering of ashes will be done at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Ray and Stephanie Jackson at 70 Stone Cove Dr., Climax Springs, Mo. 65324 for the children’s financial and educational needs.
