John Lint, Jr., 95

John Wesley Lint, Jr., 95, Villisca, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014.

John Wesley Lint, Jr. was born Aug. 23, 1918, the son of John Wesley Lint, Sr. and Gertrude Carpenter. He was a career farmer. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II, earning a Purple Heart.

John married Clara Leona Pierson Aug. 7, 1948. They were blessed with three children: Peggy, Russell and James.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Leona of Villisca; children, Peggy Larsen and husband Randy of Atlantic and James Lint and wife Teresa of Corning; grandchildren, Jeremy (Rachelle) Larsen, Justin (Melissa) Larsen, Juanita (Jay) Kern, Heather (Chad) Conley, Amber (Chris) Cabeen and Jon Lint; and six great-grandchildren.

Services for John were Friday, June 6 with burial in the North Page Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Villisca Fire Department or the Villisca Good Samaritan Center.
