JV wrestlers win three weight classes

Last Monday, the Red Oak JV wrestling team participated in the Shenandoah JV Invitational along with 11 other teams and took the top place in three divisions.
“The Tigers had some great highs and a few bumps along the way,” coach Nathan Rouse said. “The Tigers continued to look for ways to develop and improve, and many of the young men made great strides, not only over the course of this early season, but also in their matches tonight.”
Tyler McMann, Isaac Bower, and Bruce Lukehart led the Tigers in the invitational, all three being undefeated in the night’s performances.
“Francisco Rohner also had a good night for the Tigers, finishing in second place in his bracket,” Rouse said. “Overall, we continue to see areas where we need to develop, but our best chance at growth comes from competition, and that is what we are looking to get.”
The wrestling team will return to the mats after Christmas break.
