Linda Mellott

Linda K. Mellott, Winter Springs, Fla., died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at home.

Linda was born Oct. 4, 1940, in Burlingame, Kan., to Ernest “Jim” and Helena Shepard. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard Shepard.

Linda is survived by her husband, Gary Mellott; her son, Jim (Kris) Srajer, of Tampa, Kan.; a daughter, Amy (Lynn) Briggs, of Orange City, Fla.; a son, Craig (Teresa) Srajer, of Moline, Ill.; a daughter, Kristin (Jeff) O’Hern of Gretna, Neb.; five grandchildren, Jordan Briggs, Lauren (Logan) Lague, Emily Briggs, Grant Srajer and Cole Srajer; and one great-grandson, Landon Lague.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Linda Mellott Memorial Fund at 3434 51st Street, Moline, Ill. 61265.
