Marcia L. Helm, 77

Marcia L. Helm, 77, of Red Oak, died Aug. 12, 2009.

Marcia Lea Helm, the daughter of John and Evelyn (Gibson) Ross was born Sept. 5, 1931 in Montgomery County.

Marcia attended Coburg High School and graduated with the class of 1949. Marcia furthered her education at Commercial Extension in Omaha, Neb. After graduating, she moved to Red Oak and went to work for the Farmers Mercantile. On Oct. 2, 1955, Marcia married Kenneth LeRoy Helm at the United Presbyterian Church in Red Oak.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents; grandson: Curtis Jackson; brother: Richard Ross; sister: Mary Askey.

Marcia is survived by her husband Kenneth LeRoy Helm of Red Oak; children: Sonia (Dave) Jackson of Red Oak; Tim (Joan Parris) Helm of Red Oak; James (Deb) Helm of Stanton; and Monica (Russ) Shearer of Red Oak; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service were held Aug. 17 at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home

Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Red Oak with Rev. Caryn Pedersen officiating.
