Martinez’s retained as Red Oak tennis coaches

RED OAK—Dan Martinez was retained as head coach of Red Oak's tennis team, which was approved by the Red Oak school board, last Monday. Nita Martinez was also retained as an assistant on the team.

The Martinez's retired from teaching in the Red Oak school district, last summer.

Superintendent Terry Schmidt said the Martinez's needed to wait for four months before they could re-apply for the coaching position, as part of school board policy.

The Board also approved P.J. Hedrington to be the Middle School Track and Field coach.

Hedrington is currently an assistant on the high school varsity wrestling squad.
