Michael T. Woosley, 71
Michael Thomas Woosley died Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs.
Michael was born June 13, 1941, in Iowa City to Orville and DeLoris (Wynn) Woosley. He grew up and graduated from Creston High School in 1959. While in high school, he enjoyed playing sports.
Michael married Karen Elaine Henrich Nov. 4, 1961, in Creston. Together they lived in Creston while he worked for Center Milk Company and a propane gas company. The family moved to Council Bluffs and Michael started selling insurance. After a few years the family moved to Red Oak, where he continued selling insurance.
In 1991, they moved to Council Bluffs and he began selling advertising. Michael and Karen enjoyed traveling across the Midwest selling advertising until he retired in 2005. After retiring they continued to travel, enjoying their time together. He enjoyed spending time with family and watching the grandchildren play sports.
Michael is survived by his wife Karen; two sons, Michael Todd and wife Sharon of Council Bluffs and Monte Wayne and wife Erin of Omaha; a daughter, Roxanne Renee Droste and husband Steve of Waterloo; three grandsons, Tyler Wayne Droste of Waterloo, Zachary Michael Woosley and Grant Nathan Woosley of Omaha.
Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Maher-Livingston Funeral Home. Services will be Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 11 a.m. at Maher-Livingston Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to American Legion Rainbow Post #2 or Ascera Care Hospice.
