Michael W. Charles, 59

Michael Charles, 59, of Villisca, Iowa, formerly of Kansas City, Mo., passed away on Monday, July 20, 2009, at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak.

Michael Walter Charles, the son of Walter A. and Mary Lee (King) Charles was born October 9, 1949, in Kansas City, Mo. He lived most of his life in the Kansas City area. He graduated from Shawnee Mission High School. Following graduation, Michael attended two years of college. His career as a security guard in the Kansas City area spanned over many years. Michael enjoyed being outside and spending time on the farm. His cats held a special place in his heart, he loved them dearly.

In December 2008, Michael became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society of Villisca, Iowa. Michael was preceded in death by his parents.

Michael is survived by his sister, Janet Zenor and husband Dennis of Red Oak; niece, Ashley Oser and husband Jake of Columbia, Mo.; nephew, Adam Zenor of Red Oak; uncle and aunt: Tom and Elaine King of Warrensburg, Mo.; many cousins and other relatives.

Michael was cremated and inurnment will take place at a later date in the Sunset Hill Cemetery at Warrensburg, Mo.
