Batten Sanitation sells to local hauler Town & Country Sanitation

After 42 years of serving the sanitation needs of Red Oak, Batten Sanitation Service is now under new but very much local ownership, Town & Country Sanitation.
Batten Vice President Lynette Bruce made the following statement following the completion of the sale.
“It is with great appreciation to each and every one of our valued customers and friends, for your unwavering support over the years. You have made our 42 years of business in Red Oak possible. Thank you so much. It has been an honor to serve you and to be a necessary part of our community. “

For those who don’t know Town & Country Sanitation, the owners are Kevin and Amy Carlisle, who live in Griswold.
“We have served and supported the Red Oak community for many years. We are a family-owned and locally-operated company, serving Southwest Iowa communities for more than 30 years. We look forward to continuing to serve Red Oak’s sanitation needs. We know you have other options for your service. Contact us at 712-778-2365 if you would like to discuss any service options, and/or if you have questions or concerns. We are making an investment in the Red Oak community and would appreciate the residents’ continued business,” Kevin said.
“There is no need to worry about the transition. Your Batten Sanitation account, as well as any credits, will automatically transfer over to Town & Country unless you notify us otherwise. Town & Country will continue to offer all of the same services that Batten Sanitation has, and the Red Oak office will remain open to take care of your needs.”4
In addition to retaining the Red Oak office, Kevin said Lynette, her crew, and his crew will all continue to be working for Town & Country Sanitation. “You will continue to see the same faces, and we will do our best for a smooth transition. While we won’t make any changes right away, slight changes will eventually happen with billing systems, routes, office hours, etc. We are working toward providing a 90-gallon can to residential customers who would want one as part of their service. It will take time to acquire and get dispersed the numbers we will need, so please be patient with us,” commented Carlisle.
Carlisle added they offer a few different payment options including ACH, credit/debit card, Houghton Pay if the customer banks at Houghton, as well as yearly pay, which offers a discount, and monthly payments.
“We look forward to serving you and will do our best to keep you informed throughout this transition. Please like us on Facebook at facebook.com/townandcountrysanitation to see any announcements we may have. Coming soon will be a website, and we will have an open house at the Red Oak Office. We want to celebrate serving the Red Oak community and recognize Mary Jane, Lynette, and the crew for their past dedication,” Kevin stated.
