Council accepts Smith’s resignation

The Red Oak City Council, by a 3-2 vote. approved the resignation of Red Oak city administrator Kyra Smith.
At the regular meeting April 15, the council entered into a closed session hearing, lasting around one hour.
Following the hearing, Councilperson Brian Bills motioned, and was seconded by Councilperson Tim Fridolph, to accept Smith’s resignation as city administrator with one month’s gross salary and waive repayment of tuition expenses. Bills, Fridolph, and Councilperson Sharon Bradley voted in favor of the motion. Councilpersons Adam Hietbrink and John Haisaik voted against.
