Highway 34 construction update

Dane Parrish, project manager with Concrete Technologies, Inc. shared the latest update on the Highway 34 project.

"We are working on the intersection at 4^th Street and Highway 34 this week and will continue working on temporary detour paving today through early next week to prepare for a traffic switch.  Once the detour paving is in place on the south side of Highway 34 and we have new pavement markings in place we will be installing temporary barrier rail down the current center line of Highway 34 starting at Highway 48 intersection and continuing East to 8^th Street.  Two-way traffic will be switched over to the newly placed detour pavement on the south half of 34 for the next couple of months as we begin demolition of the north (westbound) lanes of 34 to prepare for the new pavement to be installed.

Fourth Street to the South will be opened back up late next week and will be closed to the North."
