Margaret E. Hillman, 95

Margaret E. Hillman, 95, of Sioux City, died July 27 at Indian Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Margaret was born April 2, 1914, in Red Oak to Elmer N. and Elsie (Wieland) Anderson. She graduated from Red Oak High School with the Class of 1932 before attending Junior College in 1933. Margaret taught in a rural school outside Red Oak from 1934 until 1937 and worked at the Thomas D. Murphy Calendar Company. She married Cecil Hillman Aug. 1, 1937, in Red Oak.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband Cecil, and brother Lt. Dean Anderson.

Margaret is survived by her sons John (Julie) Hillman of St. Charles, Mo., and Tom (Cheryl) Hillman of Sioux City; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral Services were held July 30 at the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Roger Madden officiating. Burial followed at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be offered to the First United Methodist Church in Margaret’s name.
