Grace M. Erickson, 95

Grace M. Erickson, 95, of Omaha, Neb., formerly of Red Oak, died Dec. 4, 2009, at the Immanuel-Fontenelle Home in Omaha, Neb.

Grace Margery Erickson, the daughter of J. Edwin and Hilma (Anderson) Gibson was born Jan. 12, 1914, in Stanton.

Grace was raised in the Stanton Community. She graduated from Stanton High School in 1932 and then continued her education at Red Oak Junior College. Grace married Leon “Maurice” Erickson on April 9, 1937, in Stanton. Grace worked for 25 years in the Physical Therapy Department of Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Stanton.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Maurice; daughter: Sharon Evans Angrimson; brother: Clifford Gibson; and sister: Genevieve Jarvis.

Grace is survived by her children: Leon (Betty) Erickson of Lincoln, Neb.; Gary (Elise) Erickson of Overland Park, Kan.; and Sandra (Marvin) Kunz of Omaha, Neb.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Dec. 7 at Mamrelund Lutheran Church at Stanton. Burial was at Mamre Cemetery in Stanton with Rev. Dr. Eric Kutzli officiating.
