Michael F. “Mick” Maher, 67

Michael F. “Mick” Maher, 67, of Red Oak, died Feb. 19, 2010, at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. 

Michael Francis “Mick” Maher was born March 28, 1942, in Council Bluffs, the son of Francis L. and Wilma Rose (Coy) Maher. He married Mary Jo Hinkle in 1965 and to this union four children were born. He later married Margaret Ann “Maggie” Waters in 1987. 

Survivors include: Margaret Maher of Red Oak; mother: Wilma Maher of Shenandoah; children: Michelle Faxon of Emerson; Lisa Weak of Hastings; Tony Maher of Carson; and Shari (Dave) Chleborad of Omaha, Neb.; six grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Patricia Connelly of San Diego, Calif.; Robert Maher of Russellville, Mo.; William Maher of Treynor; Duane (Mary) Maher of Omaha, Neb.; Denise Donnelly of Redmond, Ore.; Jerry Maher of Shenandoah; Douglas Maher of Poway, Calif.; Sandra Bugg of Farragut; and David Maher of Farragut.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Feb. 22 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Imogene, with Father Ken Gross, celebrant. Burial was in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery at Imogene.
