Blue Jays win two of three

VILLISCA — The Villisca Blue Jays baseball team lost to East Mills on Friday night at home, 6-4.
The Blue Jays had the lead, but the Wolverines tied it in the sixth inning and scored two more in the seventh to win.
The Blue Jays had the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh inning, but relief pitcher Charlie Ruff retired the final two batters.
Villisca had won the two previous games.
Villisca was on the road Thursday when they defeated the Sidney Cowboys, 7-5.
They also defeated Bedford, last Monday, 6-3.
The Blue Jays played in Corning on Monday, but results weren’t available as of press time.
Villisca will be home on Wednesday to play Walnut, as part of a softball/baseball doubleheader.
