Wilson Performing Arts Center hosting tryouts for Music Man ho
RED OAK — Auditions are scheduled for the upcoming Wilson Performing Arts Center summer production of “The Music Man,” which is now running in its 55th year.
This production will beon the Wilson stage June 15-17 and 22-24.
John Gibson from Council Bluffs will be directing along with Pam Lewis from Shenandoah as the musical director and Joy Tunnicliff from Clarinda as the choreographer.
Auditions for this production will be held April 9th and 10th.
Anyone interested in auditioning should be prepared to sing, read and should wear comfortable clothes.
No acapella auditions are needed as an accompanist will be provided.
Those auditioning should also either bring a resume or be prepared to complete a bio the evening of auditions.
For auditions on the 9th organizers ask that you call the Wilson Performing Arts Center at 623-3135 to reserve an audition time between the times of 4-7 p.m.
The 10th will feature an open audition time from 6-8 p.m.
Rehearsals for this production will begin Monday, April 16.

— Cast size: Medium (11-20), Large (over 20);
— Cast Type: Children in Cast, Ensemble Cast - Many featured roles, Older Role(s), Showcases trained singers, Star Vehicle - Female, Star Vehicle - Male, Strong/Large Chorus, Teenage Roles;
— Dance requirement: Heavy (Extensive Dance Sections/Solos), Standard (Musical Staging/Some Dance/Optional).
