Red Oak girls basketball state tournament notes

The Red Oak High School Activities Department released the following information about the state tournament next Tuesday.

Tickets can be purchased at the high school office now and will be available until Tuesday at 8 a.m. Tickets may also be purchased at the Wells Fargo Arena before the game.

There will be a pep bus for middle school and high school students, as well as an adult and family bus. Riders under middle school age on the bus must be accompanied by an adult. THe price is $5 per rider and must be paid to the high school or middle school office no later than noon on Monday. Middle school students need written permission to allow them to go on the pep bus. The bus needs a minimum of 25 on the family pep bus for it to go to Des Moines.

The pep buses will load in the Red Oak High School circle starting at 7:45 a.m. and depart at 8 a.m. The buses are loading immediately after the game as they will head back to Red Oak. There will be no planned stops on the way to or from Des Moines.

A pep rally will be held Monday, Feb. 25 in the Red Oak High School gymnasium starting at 2:45 p.m. This pep rally is for high school students and community members that would like to attend.

Tuesday's game will be against Davenport Assumption and will start at 11:45 p.m.
