Race Weekend: Dennis, Plowman leading the pack

The racing season continues for this weekend as racing will be taking place in both Corning and Harlan.

Adams County Speedway

This weekend at Adams County Speedway will feature a Kid's Candy Drop.

In the Poet Biorefining Modifieds standings, Jesse Dennis leads the pack. Dennis has three wins (including last week) and five top five finishes in five starts this season.  He currently has 141 points for the season . Brian Foote and Todd Van Eaton both sit in a tie for second.

Jon Plowman (159 points) also has three wins for the season as he leads the Stalker Chevrolet B-Mods field. He's got three wins, as well as four top five finishes. Jerod Weston, who has two wins this season, sits in a tie for second 17 points behind, along with Darin Hardisty.

In the Chat Mobility Hobby Stocks standings, Jeremy Purdy (156 points) holds a 12 point lead over Thomas Myers. Purdy has five top five finishes this season and holds a tight lead over Myers, ndy Davison and Luke Ramsey.

Chris Spieker meanwhile holds a five point lead ver Jason O'Brien in the Coors Light Late Models standings. Spieker has 134 points to lead and has two wins with four top five finishes this season.

Joe Zadina picked up his second win of the season last week in the Northland Oil Pro-stocks series. He currently sits first with 108 points, one ahead of Brad Derry.

Shelby County Speedway

The big event this weekend will be the Dwight Wrich Memorial. All the regular classes will be running. In addition, the GOTRA coupes will be racing.

The point standings features a lot of close fights for first place.

There's a two-way tie for first in the Hobby Stock standings with third place within striking distance. Jason Fusselman and Jeff Fink are tied for first with 148 points. Josh Cook meanwhile is nine points back.

The Late Model standings features Jay Stewart holding a two point lead over Al Zeitner and a five point lead over Melvin Zeitner. Stewart has 158 points. The three were all in the top six at last week's race.

In the Modified standings, Jesse Sobbing (159) holds a 20 point lead over Brad Bergren. Sobbing scored the win at last week. Bergren meanwhile took home fifth.

Dale Pash (150) meanwhile holds a three point lead over Dennis Cook in the N. Sport Mod standings. Cody Olsen meanwhile sits third in the standings as he won last week's race. Jared Hansen sits fourth with seven points behind Pash.

In Sport Compact standings, Caine Mahlberg leads the pack with 158 points and Cody Thompson sits second with 11 points.

Finally, in the Stock Car standings, Micke Nichols leads with 153 points. He holds an 11 point lead over Mike Stapleton and Brian Blessington.
