Emerson library reopens Wednesday

The Emerson Public Library will reopen Wednesday after closing nearly a year ago.

The library will be open from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.

A June 7 open house is scheduled from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. to celebrate the library’s reopening and to kick off the summer reading program “Fizz Boom Read.”

Refreshments will be served and door prizes will be given away.

Starting June 2, library hours will be Monday, 1-4 p.m.; Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m.-noon; Wednesday, 3-7 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

The summer reading program is from June 2-30. It is open to everyone from preschool through adult.

On Wednesday’s in June, the library will host reading groups and crafts and refreshments will be available.

The library closed about 10 months ago after a driver hit the vehicle’s accelerator instead of the brake, causing a collision.
