Margaret Skahill, 83

Margaret M. Skahill, 83, Red Oak, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at the Good Samaritan Society.  

Margaret was born Sept. 11, 1930 in Stoutsville, Mo., the daughter of William and Lillian (Crow) Ditmars.

Margaret married James Henry Skahill Nov. 20, 1948.

Survivors include her sons, Larry Skahill of Bethlehem, Pa., Vince Skahill of Red Oak, Joe Skahill of Coin and Bix Skahill St. Paul, Minn.; her daughters, Diane Stevenson of Claremont, Mo., Geri Wood of Emerson and Jean Mellott and husband Mark of Red Oak; brothers, William Henry “Hank” Ditmars and Edward Ditmars; and sisters, Linda Bonnes, Kay Fensholt and Beverly Trump.

Funeral mass was Saturday, May 31, 2014, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Tom Kunnell, as celebrant. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
