T’Wolves get first win versus SEW

 LIBERTY CENTER — The Southwest Valley Timberwolves boys basketball team picked up its first win of the season Friday night when they defeated Southeast Warren 62-41.

The Timberwolves are now 1-6 for the season. Stats from the game weren’t available at press time.

Lenox 69, Southwest Valley 39

After a close first quarter, the Timberwolves fell behind and never caught up in their loss on the road last Tuesday at Lenox.

Southwest Valley trailed 10-9 at the end of the first quarter. Lenox outscored the Timberwolves 26-12 in the second quarter to take a 36-21 lead at halftime.

Lenox maintained its pace and never looked back in the second half.

Chance Cobb scored nine points and had two rebounds. Gunner McCuen had eight points with two rebounds.

Scott Vanderhoof had eight points, while Bryan Pearson, Tony Klocke and Wyatt McAlpin each scored four points.

The Timberwolves are now on break. They won’t be back in action again until Jan. 6 versus Mount Ayr.
