Red Oak bowling defeats St. Albert
RED OAK — In their lone meet last week, the Red Oak bowling teams swept St. Albert in varsity action at Red Oak Lanes last Tuesday.
The girls won 2,275-1,155, while the boys won 2,796-2,151. Breann Berkey, who had a 319 series, led the girls. Kendra Hardy (317) and Alexa Gilleland (315) were close behind. Jasmine Forward finished with a 301 series, while Shaely Nowels bowled a 289 series. Brenna Craig was the final finisher with a 252 series.
The boys were led by Adam Zenor, who had a 235 high game on his way to a 436 series. John Childers had a 408 series, including a 223 high game. Shane Majerus missed out on a 400 series as he recorded a 390. Chase Rea had a 355, while Tristan Piper had a 314 and Garrett Patterson recorded a 309.
The junior varsity boys were also in action as they defeated St. Albert 2,155-2,376. Gadge Perez had a 355 series, while Johnathan Ernst recorded a 351.
Jesse Houston had a 310 series, while Keatis Kunze had a 302. Christian Horn finished with a 247 and Quinn Hall bowled a 220.
The JV girls didn’t have an opponent for the meet.
Red Oak will be back in action Thursday when they host Harlan. The meet starts at 3:30 p.m. at Red Oak Lanes.
Red Oak will compete at the Hawkeye 10 meet Friday at 12:30 p.m. at the Thunderbowl in Council Bluffs.
