Red Oak hosts H-10 south co-ed track

The Red Oak track teams hosted the Hawkeye 10 south division track meet last Tuesday with both the girls and boys taking fourth place overall.
The south division consists of Clarinda, Creston, Glenwood, Red Oak, and Sheanandoah.
Girls
Team results: 1- Glenwood 201; 2- Shenandoah 142; 3- Creston 111; 4- Red Oak 64; 5- Clarinda 47.
Red Oak was led by Juhi Boeye who earned a second place in the 400m dash and was a member on the third place sprint medley relay, and fourth place 4x400 relay, earning 10.5 points.
Two relays also earned second place finishes for the Tigers.

Boys
Glenwood ran away with the win, scoring 251 points on  16 golds.
Highlighting the night was the first place team of Cam Vanderhoof, Carter Bruce, Isaac Birt, and Justin McCunn in the distance medley relay.

“I saw some very good things,” boys head coach Sueann French said. “These boys gave great effort and they see where we need to improve. Winning the distance medley relay was our highlight, especially cutting two seconds off of our best time last year.”
