YMCA offers Pickleball clinic
The Montgomery County YMCA will be hosting a Pickleball clinic/demonstration on Saturday, March 23, from 10 a.m. to noon in the YMCA gym.
Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. The Montgomery County YMCA is putting on the clinic to gauge the interest level in establishing a pickleball league or tournament, and is available for anyone of all ages who is interested.
Steve Stone will be conducting the clinic. Stone is the founder of Pickleball Iowa, and is a certified pickleball teaching professional (IPTPA), as well as listed on the Certified Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR).
Pickleball is a game played by two or four people with solid paddles. It combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis in hitting a whiffle-like ball over a net. The court is a badminton-sized court. (20 foot by 44 foot)
