Knights shut out Wolverines

Saige Mitchell had two hits and drove in a run and picked up the win in the circle for Fremont-Mills in a 14-0 win over East Mills in Corner Conference softball last Monday.
Mitchell scattered three hits, did not walk a batter and struck out three in the win.
 Kinley Blackburn had three hits and drove in four runs. Adelynn Bilingsley had two hits and drove in a run and Abby Malcom was 2-for-2 with two drives driven in.
Caitlyn Crouse had two hits to lead East Mills at the plate and Lauren Brown took the loss after allowing 12 hits and walking six.

Lenox blanks Sidney in district baseball

Lenox jumped out to a 15-0 lead after two innings and Brogan Petersen was dominant on the mound in a 16-0 win over Sidney in the Class 1A, Substate 8 opening round Friday in Lenox.
The Tigers (17-10) scored three runs in the first and 11 in the second on their way to the win. The start was all Petersen needed to control Sidney (3-13) at the plate.
The sophomore faced two over the minimum while striking out nine in four innings.
Cooper Hagen took the loss for the Cowboys. The East Mills’ senior allowed three hits and four earned runs while walking seven and striking out three.

Fremont-Mills 18,
Sidney 3
Fremont-Mills closed its regular season with an 18-3 victory over Sidney in Corner Conference baseball last Wednesday.
The Knights (11-8) plated five runs in the second and eight more in the third to take control. They finished with 16 hits while stealing 11 bases.
Gavin Crom and Broden Zimmerman had three hits each to lead Fremont-Mills. Crom drove in three runs and Zimmerman two. Rowen Howe, Sam Sanchez and Colin Morse had two hits each.
Zimmerman tossed the five-inning complete game, striking out nine and scattering five hits and no earned runs.
Gannon Goy took the loss on the mound. The sophomore allowed five hits and five earned runs while striking out two in 1 and 2/3 innings.
Cooper Hagen had two hits and drove in a run and Kullen Ward singled to score a run.

Bedford 22,
Sidney 8
Bedford rallied back from a 5-0 deficit to defeat Sidney 22-8 in Corner Confernence baseball last Tuesday.
The Cowboys got ip 5-0 after two innings before the Bulldogs tied it in the third. They took the lead for good with a 14-run top of the seventh.
 Ashton Nally had three hits and drove in two and John Deemer and Quentin Davis added three hits and two RBIs each.
Dallas Wyckoff struck out four and did not allow a hit over two innings to pick up the win.
Gabe Blanton had a hit and drove in three runs and Cooper Hagen two hits and an RBI for Sidney.
