Dennis "Denny" Good, 85

Dennis Evans “Denny” Good, 85, Elliott, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Buffet Cancer Center in Omaha, Neb.
Denny was born Feb. 25, 1940, in Red Oak, the son of Vincent and Jean (Evans) Good. He graduated from Wales Lincoln High School in 1957, where he was an avid basketball player. He then studied Business at Omaha University. Denny started working for Bell Telephone Company selling Yellow Page ads.
He was united in marriage to Nina Rolf on April 29, 1961, at the Stratton United Methodist Church. They moved back to the family farm where he raised hogs, cattle, and row crops. His passion was farming, but Denny also co-owned G & L Oil Company and Manor of Malvern nursing home.
He was a lifetime member of the Red Oak Elks Lodge and the NRA. Denny enjoyed coyote and deer hunting, fishing, going to Lake Winnibigosh in Minnesota, traveling, and going to the casino.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Nina Good on Sept. 17, 1997; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Alice Rolf; and brother-in-law, Ben Rolf.
Survivors include his daughters, Kim Anderson and husband Mike of Atlantic, and Susan Bergren and husband Junior of Elliott; granddaughter, Ally Anderson and boyfriend Max Kuhns of Bridgewater; step-grandchildren, Rachel Knop and husband Keith of Shelby, and Rachel Bergren of Morton’s Mill; brother, Jim Good and wife Jody of Red Oak; sister, Sharon Long of Omaha, Neb.; sisters-in-law, Pat Jones and husband Robert of Dallas, Texas, and Mary Rolf of Red Oak; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends, including special friend, Yvonne Donner of Lincoln, Neb.
A celebration of life funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2025, at the LeRette Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Red Oak Elks Lodge Renovation Project or the charity of the donor’s choice.
