Donna Knudson, 88

Donna Lou Knudson, 88, Cummings, Ga., passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Magnolia Senior Living at Sugar Hill, Ga.
Donna Lou Knudson, daughter of Paul and Irene Jung, was born April 21, 1936, in Omaha, Neb. On April 24, 1955, Donna was united in marriage to Keith Knudson, and they moved to the farm in Lindy, Neb., in the spring of 1959. They were blessed with six children, Jeffrey, Clinton, Kelly, Suzanne, Creighton, and Julie. Donna had her hands full raising six kids while also being instrumental in maintaining their dairy farm in Lindy until she moved away in 1978.
She worked at the Holiday Inn as a waitress in Red Oak and then as a server at the Louisville Country Club in Louisville, Ky., for several years. Due to health reasons, she eventually moved to Cummings, Ga., to live with her son Clinton Knudson where she has lived out the remainder of her life.
Donna enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling, and watching TV game shows; Jeopardy was her favorite!
Donna is survived by her sons, Jeffrey (Susan) of Griswold; Clinton (Lorraine) of Cummings, Ga.; Kelly (Julie) of Norfolk, Neb.; Creighton (Christine) of Council Bluffs; and daughter, Suzanne (Rick) Lang of Hernando, Miss. She had eight grandsons, Brent, Clinton Jay (CJ), Tyler, Cheyne, Nathan, Nick, Jordan, and Logan; four granddaughters, Megan, Danielle, Alexandra (Lexie), and Sophie; and six great-grandchildren, Beckett, Nash, Wesley, Sloane, Nora, and Soren. She absolutely loved visits, pictures, and phone calls from her children and grandchildren.
Donna was one of a kind and will be dearly missed by family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Parrott; her grandson, Tyler; her parents, Paul and Irene Jung; her sisters, Doris Simpson, Paulene Grell, and Marlene Petrovich; and her brothers, Harlan Jung, Melvin, Warren, and Stanley.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lindy, Neb. Pastor Dani Jo Bierwagen will officiate. The internment will take place on Aug. 26, 2024, at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha, Neb.
