Elvera Johnson, 92

Elvera Freida Johnson, 92, Essex, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025.
Elvera Johnson was born on Nov. 16, 1932, to Fritz and Olga Marie (Anderson) Englund on a farm in Cuming County, near Oakland, Neb.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Johnson; and her parents.
Elvera is survived by her children, Becky Cerven, Tim Johnson, Mark Johnson, and Debra Shutters; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.  
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Stanton Evangelical Covenant Church in Stanton.  Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be in Essex Cemetery in Essex.  Memorials are suggested to the Essex Public Library or the Essex Education Foundation.
