Jeremiah Keatts, 3

Jeremiah Nathaniel Keatts was born on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020. He was selected below the zone for early promotion into eternal life with Jesus Christ on Monday, July 1, 2024, at three years and eight months of age.
As a pastor’s kid and military child, Jeremiah’s extended family reaches all over the globe - including a vast military family, neighbors in Tomasha Village and Rosalie Drive, and church families at Harvest Baptist Church of Blue Springs, Mo.; Michael Memorial Baptist Church in Gulfport, Miss.; and most recently the Naval Station Rota Chapel and Hospitality House ministry in Rota, Spain.
His love for dinosaurs and “car cars” was only surpassed by his love for his family, trips to the car wash, the beach or church. He loved singing Jesus Loves Me and his favorite part was showing his muscles, displaying that we are weak but HE is strong.
Jeremiah loved leading his family in prayer at the dinner table most nights, playing with his sissy and always had at least two toy cars nearby or in his hands.
Jeremiah was welcomed into heaven by his great-grandparents, Ernest and Ethel Carpenter; William and Kawanna Keatts; Darland and Helen Sellergren; Syke and Mary Woods; great-aunt, Lisa England; and cousin, Aaron Brown.
Those mourning the loss of his time with us on earth include his parents, Josh and Hilary Keatts; best sissy on the planet, Grace Keatts; great-grandparents, Ed and Jean Leichty, grandparents, Randy and Candy Keatts, Barry and Nancy Sellergren and Norm Woods; aunt and uncles, Nate and Lindsey Baker-Sellergren; Zach Keatts; and cousins, Ruby and Julian Sellergren and Paul Keatts.
Jeremiah’s Celebration of Life is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Harvest Baptist Church of Blue Springs (425 NW RD Mize Road, Blue Springs, MO 64014).
Visitation is planned for Monday, July 15, 2024, starting at 9 a.m. at Sellergren Lindell DeMarce Funeral Home (509 N 6th St, Red Oak, Iowa 51566) with a graveside service at 11 a.m. at Arlington Cemetery in Villisca.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family requests donations to https://bit.ly/Keattsfamily to assist with funeral costs and the creation of Jeremiah’s Legacy, a scholarship fund for youth missions and military children pursuing trade certifications, college or the mission field.
Jeremiah’s family finds peace and hope that by sending others, Jeremiah’s Legacy has an eternal impact -- reaching exceedingly abundantly beyond anything they could have hoped or dreamed (Eph 3:20) through the young men and women who will be awarded his scholarship in the years to come.
Remembrances and condolences may be shared with the family at sldfuneralhome.com.
Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home is in charge of Jeremiah’s arrangements and serving his family.
