“Celebrating the Joy”

Please join us as we celebrate the life of Joyce (McHenry) Royston—a woman known for her humor, quick wit, fierce love for her family, and generosity. As Joyce wished, we will gather not in mourning, but in joy—sharing laughter, memories, and a few of her favorite foods - just the way she wanted it.
This celebration of life will take place Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 1 to 4 p.m. at McAlpin Place, 109 E Washington Ave., Red Oak, Iowa 51566.
Joyce’s children will be present to greet guests and honor the memory of a mother, grandmother, sister, co-worker and friend who never missed a chance to make a joke, share a sarcastic remark, or lighten the mood with her sharp humor. Whether you needed a laugh or some real advice (often both), Joyce had a way of making people feel seen, supported, and smiling.
This is the party she requested, so expect a lot of laughter and a celebration filled with love, good stories, and the kind of joy only Joyce could inspire. Come as you are, bring a memory to share, and help us raise a toast to a life well lived.
