Patricia A. Holm, 71

Patricia A. Holm, 71, of Red Oak, passed away Monday, May 9, 2011, at her home after an extended illness.

Patricia Ann Holm was born to Ernest and Nora (Bovenizer) Tuohey on July 13, 1939, in Chicago, Ill.

She was raised in Chicago and was united in marriage to Don Holm on Aug. 24, 1957, in Iuka, Miss. They have made Red Oak their home since 1966.  

Survivors include her husband; children, Donna (Tom, Sr.) Krings of Fullerton, Neb., Don (Teresa) Holm, Jr. of Union Grove, Wis. and Kelly (Ron) Waters of Red Oak; grandchildren,  Sarah (Matt) Holthe of York, Neb., Tom Krings, Jr. and fiancée Kelly Spencer of Omaha, David (Karin) Holm of Lititz, Penn., Melissa Holm of Union Grove, Aaron Waters and fiancée Dawn Weakley of Chambersburg, Penn., Megan Waters and fiancé Justin Roenfeld of Lincoln, Neb., and Tammy Waters of Red Oak; great-grandchildren, Luke and Rachel Holthe; brother, Ernest (Lenore) Tuohey of Arizona; sister, Nora Russell of Texas; sisters-in-law, Ellen (Ken) Akert of Roselle, Ill. and Nancy (Ron) Gierthy of Vernon Hills, Ill.; many nieces and nephews, including Bonnie (Hoshang) Karani of Lake Forest, Ill. and Irene (Don) Moore of Council Bluffs; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services took place Friday, May 13, at the First United Methodist Church in Red Oak. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Hawthorne United Methodist Church, the Red Oak Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association, or the American Cancer Society. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
