Pauline Powell, 89
Pauline A. Powell, 89, of Red Oak, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at the Good Samaritan Society in Red Oak.
Pauline Adel Powell was born to David and Lovetta (Curtis) Sanquist Aug. 16, 1922, in Montgomery County. Pauline lived her entire life in Red Oak.
She married Keith Delbert Powell in 1947, in Hiawatha, Kan.
Throughout Pauline’s career she worked for the Griffith Hotel, Cooper Hotel and Johnson Hotel, then provided in-home childcare. She was a loving lady and treasured the many years caring for her grandchildren. Later, Pauline lived with and cared for her mother.
Pauline was a devoted Elvis Presley fan. Her greatest enjoyment in life was her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Evelyn Lane.
Pauline is survived by her daughter, Linda (Ron) King, of Red Oak; three grandchildren, Jeffrey (Nicki) King, of Villisca, Carrie (Tom) Gray, of Red Oak, and Lori (Jeremy) Gilleland, of Elliott; four great-grandchildren, Chelsey, Myah, Talya and Marley; along with other relatives and friends.
Funeral services took place Friday, April 13, at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Red Oak, with Rev. Alan Dean officiating.
