President Obama’s 'can do' attitude will overcome negativism, criticism

In the World Cup soccer match the Dutch competed with an overly aggressive attitude toward the Spanish.  That obviously contributed to Holland’s loss to Spain.
For months, the Republican leaders of the Senate and House, Sen. Mitch Mc Connell and Rep. John Boehner have whined and reacted negatively to everything the President and the Democrats proposed yet they offered no alternative solutions.
These Republican attempts to vindicate the eight years of George W. Bush are futile.  By his own statements George Bush set himself up in history :   “I am a war president”; “You have given me the capital and I am going to spend it”; and when he was cautioned about borrowing large sums of money from China, he said, “It is our money anyhow”.  
His extremely careless attitude caused the world to watch in alarm and disbelief and his policies lost the 2008 election for the Republicans.
The political cartoons in the Red Oak Express have consistently attacked President Obama. That may not be such a bad thing.  
Marge Warder wrote in her column last week that when ridiculing a targeted figure goes on for too long, people will tire of it.  
Americans are too smart to swallow the untruthfulness and lack of fair play that the cartoons project.  
Many will connect with the hard working President who has a “we can do this” attitude. The deficit is mostly a product of the Bush administration.  How and who in the Republican party could ever fix it?
