In Shenandoah on Sunday evening, a trailer owned by 55-year-old Danny Cardin of Homer, La., struck the tent of 67-year-old RAGBRAI rider James Foley of Middleburg, Fla. Foley and the tent were dragged 50 feet until Cardin parked. Foley was transported to an Omaha hospital with serious injuries. Cardin was charged with serious injury by vehicle and leaving the scene of a serious injury accident. He was held at the Fremont County Jail.
