ACCIDENTS
• On Oct. 2, at 11:04 a.m., Red Oak Police officers investigated a two vehicle accident in the 100 block of North1st Street. Matthew Boyce, 26, Red Oak, driving a 2013 Chevrolet Impala, was traveling west on Linden Street when his vehicle struck a 1983 Mercury Marquis, driven by Charles Thompson, 85, Red Oak, which was being backed from a driveway. Damage to the Boyce vehicle was about $7,000, while damage to the Thompsons vehicle was about $5,000. No injuries were reported, and Boyce was cited for failure to provide proof of insurance.
