ACCIDENTS
• On Sept. 30, at about 3:43 p.m., Red Oak Police officers investigated a two-vehicle accident in the parking lot of Red Oak High School. 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up owned by Patrick Maynes, Red Oak, was headed east in the parking lot when Renee Decker, 15, Red Oak, backed her 1999 Chevrolet Suburban, owned by Anthony Decker, out of a parking spot. The Decker vehicle struck the Maynes vehicle. Damage to the Maynes vehicle was about $1,500 and damage to the Decker vehicle was about $500. No citations were issued, and there were no injuries.
• On Oct. 2, at about 12:45 p.m., Red Oak Police officers investigated a two-vehicle accident in the Hy-Vee parking lot at Red Oak Plaza. Kristi Elwood, 27, Stanton, backed her 2013 Ford Fusion out a parking space and began to head east. At the same time, Michael Harvey, 69, Carson, backed out of a parking space in a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up owned by Carolyn Jones, Emerson, striking the Elwood vehicle. Damage to the Harvey vehicle was about $500, while damage to the Elwood vehicle was estimated at $2,500. No citations were issued.
