ACCIDENTS
On Nov. 3, at about 8:49 a.m., Red Oak police officers investigated a three-vehicle accident at the intersection of Corning Street and Broadway. Jeremy Nielsen, 39, Irwin, driving a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee owned by JKL Enterprises, was stopped at the stoplight and facing south at the intersection of Corning Street and Broadway. Deborah Wolfe, 64, Red Oak, driving a 2002 Saturn L300, was stopped at the stoplight behind Nielsen. Ally Focht, 18, driving a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu owned by Lori Peterson, was traveling south on Broadway and approaching the intersection and the Nielsen and Wolfe vehicles. Focht’s brakes became grabby and then non-responsive, and she was unable to stop. Her vehicle struck Wolfe’s vehicle, causing it to strike Nielsen’s vehicle. Damage to the Nielsen vehicle was estimated at $800. Damage to the Wolfe vehicle was about $1,500, while damage to the Focht vehicle was estimated at $1,000. Wolfe complained of possible injury but refused medical treatment and transportation, stating she would make her own arrangements. No citations were issued.
