Incident Reports

On March 30, at 10:48 p.m., officers responded to the report of a possible minor beer party at 710 E. Reed St. Upon arrival, officers did observe minors in the presence of alcohol. One 17-year-old female, of Red Oak, did have alcohol in her system. She was charged with minor in possession, a simple misdemeanor, and later released to a parent.
Also arrested was Francis Joseph Schneider, 21, of Ames. He is charged with interference with official acts, an aggravated misdemeanor, assault on a police officer, an aggravated misdemeanor, and possession of a controlled substance, a serious misdemeanor. The substance in Schneider's possession is believed to be marijuana. He is being held on a $2,000 bond.

On March 31, at 9:46 a.m., in a joint investigation between the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office and the Cass County Sheriff's Office, deputies were able to recover a stolen motorcycle. At the reported time, the Montgomery County Com-munications Center received a report of a motorcycle in the ditch near the intersection of 260th and Willow Ave., east of Villisca.
Upon deputies arrival and investigation and with the assistance of the Cass County Sheriff's Office, deputies learned the motorcycle had been stolen from the residence of Dayton Michael Amdor, of Cumberland. The motorcycle, a 2007 Yamaha YZF-R6S, was found lying in the ditch with an estimated $1,500 in damage. The vehicle was towed for evidentiary purposes and the joint investigation was ongoing at the time of this report.
