Incident Reports

On April 18, at 3:40 a.m., the Red Oak Police Department investigated a burglary into a residence in the E. 100 block of Valley St. A male wearing a black hoodie was observed running from the home by a resident. Nothing is believed to have been taken during the incident.

On April 18, at 5:08 a.m., the Fareway Food Store at 811 N. Broadway reported three of their pop machines had been damaged. The estimated damage is not currently known.
Anyone with information regarding these incidents should contact Crime Stoppers or the Red Oak Police Department.
The Red Oak Police are encouraging everyone to lock their residence doors and the doors of their vehicles in order to prevent thefts.

 

Accident Reports

On April 19, at 5:17 p.m., officers were dispatched to a two vehicle property damage accident at E. Valley and N. 2nd St., in Red Oak. When officers arrived, a minivan involved in the accident had been driven away from the scene.
A 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Tyler Andrew Stubbendeck, 16, of Stanton, was parked on the northeast side of the intersection. He stated he was hit by the tan minivan, which left the scene of the accident.
The intersection was an uncontrolled intersection and there was not enough evidence to show who had the right away. Damage to the Pontiac is estimated at $2,000.
