Red Oak boys golf stays tough against Clarinda
CLARINDA—The Red Oak boys golf team scored the win Friday by two strokes against Clarinda.
The Tigers won 186-188. Ryan Plambeck shot a 39, which made him the medalist for the meet.
Nick Carlson was the next highest scorer for Red Oak as he finished with a 47.
Nolan Black and John Johnson weren’t far behind as they shot 49 and 51, respectively.
Brandon Farnum shot a 53 and Mitch Hilder finished with a 60.
The Red Oak girls meanwhile had only three competitors for their home meet against Clarinda, not registering a team score.
Sadie Uhlenberg shot a 69 to lead the team. Reilly Black had a 75 and Shelbie Perez recorded a 78.
Red Oak vs. Atlantic/Shenandoah
The girls team was on the road as they finished third with a team score of 290. Atlantic won the meet with a score of 205.
Ellen Fellers had the top score for Red Oak as she shot a 59. Perez had a 74, while Uhlenberg finished with a 78 and Black had a 79.
Red Oak boys finished third in a triangle meet against Atlantic and Shenandoah last Thursday at the Red Oak Country Club.
Red Oak had a team score of 191. Atlantic won the meet with a score of 156.
Carlson was the top scorer for Red Oak as he recorded a 45. Hilder and Nick Leinen both shot 47’s.
Johnson had a 52, while Black shot a 53. Plambeck finished with a 57.
