Red Oak, Griswold golfers hit the links
The Red Oak varsity boys golf team defeated Griswold in a dual last Thursday at the Red Oak Country Club, 174-177.
Danny Carlson carded a score of 42 to pace the Tigers. Nick Philby shot a 43 and Beau Boeye recorded a 44. Ian Medeiros, Jake Reeve and Dylan Berry finished the round with respective scores of 45, 49 and 51.
The low score for the day, a 38, was turned in by Griswold’s Collin Weaver. Alex Oakleaf had a 44 and Dylan Bates a 47, while C.J. Coughlin and Trinton Strauss finished the round at 48. Daniel Wyman had a 58.
Red Oak junior varsity scores included Alex Uhlenberg, 45; Andrew Hayes, 48; David Irving and Andy Johnson, 50; Josh Craig, 53; and Casey Wenstrand, 55.
Griswold junior varsity scores were Chris Bates, 47; Cody Burnside, 49; Jeremy Aparoh, 51; Nick Dean, 52; KC Marshall, 56 and Noah Sindt, 58.
No team scores were kept on the girls side of play. Arinda Abbuhl shot a 47 for the Tigers, while Jordan Matson had a 58 and Michelle Burson a 62.
Griswold’s best score was a 51 carded by Chelsea Legg. Sydney Vetter and Cassie Forsyth both finished the day with a 58. Shelby Conry had a 60, Courtney Denne a 63 and Jessica Misner a 68.
