Red Oak has several named to Hawkeye-10 all-academic teams

RED OAK — Red Oak High School had several athletes honored for all-academic teams in the Hawkeye Ten Conference during the winter season, released recently.

Red Oak had representatives named in basketball, wrestling, as well as cheerleading.

For basketball, Danny Carlson, Brittany Carlson, Elise Groenhaug and Elin Skorpen were selected for the team.

Seth Esaias was the representative for the wrestling team to be named to the all-academic team.

Wrestling cheerleaders Taylor Straw and Abbey Swanson were both all-academic honorees for the Hawkeye Ten.

The All-Academic list consists of seniors, who have a 3.5 cumulative GPA and is currently active in a sport.
