Red Oak Prom

 Students, family, and community gathered at the National Guard Armory Saturday night to watch the prom walk for the 2016 Red Oak Junior-Senior Prom. It was a warm, breezy night and several hundred gathered to see the ladies and gents drive up and walk to the armory. All of the students were met with applause, including Carlos Guerra and Leatha Bennett (below). The prom-goers ate a meal catered by Hy-Vee, watched video featuring photos of themselves at all ages, and then danced away the night. After the dance, the students attended post-prom activities at the high school. Above, Maria Pendleton was elected prom queen and Ethan Hewett was elected prom king.
