Red Oak students receive academic awards

ATLANTIC — Several Red Oak senior athletes were honored as part of the Hawkeye 10 All-Academic Team and Character Awards banquet last Wednesday.
Red Oak girls basketball players Grace Blomstedt, Madison Gilbert and Kate Walker received Hawkeye 10 all-academic team awards.
Students can apply for the team if they have a 29 or higher on their ACT. As part of the application process, the students need to detail their grades, co-curricular activities, character, leadership and community service in school and the community.
Additionally, Red Oak cross country and track athlete Logan LeRette was a recipient of the Character Award, which is presented to students who displayed outstanding character during their time in high school.
