Richard Bangston, 63

Richard Harley Bangston, 63, Villisca, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013.  

Richard was born Dec. 10, 1949, in Red Oak, to Harley B. and Wilma B. Bangston. He attended Villisca High School, Tarkio College and the University of Nebraska - Omaha, where he received his Masters of Business Administration in 1981. After his college education, Richard faithfully served his country in the United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.  

Richard worked for many years in the local area managing bond portfolios for local business, including several years as a Senior Vice President for Norwest Investment Services.

Richard is preceded in death by his father, Harley Bangston; his mother, Wilma Bangston; and his sister, Barb Stevens.  

He is lovingly remembered by his sons, Travis and Matthew (Stephanie) Bangston, and their mother, Janette McGargill; his sister, Martha Shockey-Eckles; his step-mother, Wilma E. Bangston; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Villisca Presbyterian Church.  Visitation will be at a prayer service Monday, Nov. 11 at the Villisca Presbyterian Church.
