RO BB completes suspended game with victory

Red Oak defeated Clarinda in five innings with a final score of 15-5.
“This was a true team win,” Red Oak head coach Mark Erickson said. “Everyone contributed offensively, defensively, and on the mound.”
The Tigers had a dozen hits on the night with all nine batters getting at least one hit. Carter Bruce, Cole Carlson, and Dillon Burns each smacked a double
Bruce earned the win from the mound pitching all five innings. He allowed four hits, walked three, and struck out six. All Cardinal runs were unearned.
A big nine-run fifth inning ended the game early due to the run rule.
Colton Kinnison and Garrett Couse scored three runs each; Cam Vanderhoof and Carlson two runs each; and Dawson Bond, Bruce, Mitchell Johnson, Chase Roeder, and Landon Couse added one run apiece.

Shenandoah
The Tigers completed the game that had been suspended  on June 11, on Tuesday, June 25, winning the contest 12-11 in eight innings.
Red Oak was up 12-8 when the game was suspended, and the Tigers just needed two more outs. The Mustangs had a runner on third and first when the game started on Tuesday.
Shenandoah’s Austin Herold smacked a three-run home run to get the Mustangs within one, but Red Oak’s Bond was able to earn the save with just 10 pitches.
Creston
The Tigers fell to Creston 8-2 on Wednesday in Creston.
“Two major things affected the outcome from our perspective,” Erickson said. “We lacked a key hit early on as we left twelve on base. We also lacked energy later on in the game after not getting those key hits. Our job as a coaching staff and team is to discuss how to respond better in these types of situations. We have responded better before, and I have confidence that we will again.”
Burns threw 4 2/3 innings and took the loss. He gave up seven hits and allowed six earned runs, struck out five and walked three. Vanderhoof, Bond, and Johnson combined to pitch 1 1/3 innings of relief, giving up one earned run, one hit, and one walk.
Bruce went three of four at bat with a double, an RBI, and a stolen base.
Vanderhoof and Burns scored one run each.
Harlan
The Tigers hosted Harlan for a double-header on Thursday, dropping both conference games.
Game one ended after the fifth inning due to the run rule, as Harlan prevailed 14-3.
Johnson started on the mound and pitched four innings. He walked three and struck out three.
Carlson pitched an inning in relief and walked one.
The Tigers combined for four hits, and got one run each from Bond, Vanderhoof, and Bruce.
The second game ended in five innings, also, in Harlan’s favor 17-9.
Wyatt Sederburg pitched 3 2/3 innings and allowed nine earned runs. He walked three and struck out two.
Carlson allowed one earned run on one hit; Kinnison allowed three earned runs on five hits and struck out two in the combined innings of relief.
Vanderhoof had three singles and scored three runs to lead the Tiger offense.
Bond plated two runs, and Bruce, Carlson, G. Couse, and Johnson each scored one run.
“We had a team meeting to address a few items from last night’s game at Creston,” Erickson said. “I was pleased with our energy, effort, and attitude tonight. Harlan is a top-tier 3A team. We battled with them for much of the night,
