Rolenc releases and donates new book

Mysti Rolenc has accomplished a task that may seem a bit daunting to most people her age. At only 14 years old, Rolenc has published a book.

Recently, Mysti Rolenc, of Red Oak, donated the first book in a christian fiction series to the Red Oak Public Library. Rolenc has been working on the series since she was 12 years old and is already making headway on the second book.

The issues her main character, Kaitty Lorenz, works through in the series are serious, to say the least. In the first book, Kaitty deals with tragedies such as miscarriage and questioning God’s existence. The books are written to encourage others that even in the darkest of times, the light can still be found.

Rolenc is referred to as an accomplished writer in a press release from her publishing company, Xulon Press, which has published more than 8,000 titles to date.

The Red Oak Presbyterian Church will be hosting a book signing for Rolenc Sunday, Sept. 18, from noon-1 p.m. in the fellowship hall.

Rolenc’s book, “Kaitty Lorenz New Life.” is available for purchase through several avenues, including amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, and xulonpress.com/bookstore.

Mysti is the daughter of Cindy Rolenc, of Red Oak. She is a home school student in Red Oak.
