Ronald Dilocker, 58

Ronald L. Dilocker, 58, Red Oak, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, at the Methodist Hospital, Omaha.

Ronald Lee Dilocker, the son of Gerald and Donna Mae (Farlee) Dilocker was born Dec. 24, 1954, in Cherokee. As a youth, Ron lived in Cherokee, with the exception of a few years when the family moved to Los Alamos, N.M. In l967, they moved to Red Oak where Ron graduated from Red Oak High School in 1973. Following his higher education at Western Iowa Tech, Ron worked for ROMECH.

He married Darnett Pelzer March 12, 1982, in Elliott. To this union three children were born. Ron later began a 10-year career with Fresco.

On Aug. 17, 1998, Ron married Amy Mirts in Las Vegas. To this union a daughter was born. Ron enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting, woodworking and building model cars. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye football fan, past member of the Red Oak Elks Lodge and Red Oak Volunteer Fire Department.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Dilocker and step-father, Cleo Smith.

Ron is survived by his children Chrystynn Echternach, Jeremy Dilocker and Mallory Dilocker, all of Red Oak and Samantha Dilocker of Tyler, Texas; two grandchildren, Peyton Echternach and Josie Sampson; mother, Donna Mae Smith Walker and husband John of Red Oak; and sister, Kimberly Dilocker of Omaha; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Red Oak, with Rev. Dr. George Hooper officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak.
