Here's a few scores from Tuesday night in sports.
In Class 3A basketball, both Red Oak basketball teams lost Tuesday night to Clarinda. The boys' lost 64-33, while the girls' lost 36-25.
Jordan Nelson scored eight points off the bench to lead Red Oak's boys in the loss.
Both Red Oak teams will be home Friday night to take on the Glenwood Rams.
The Red Oak wrestling team was home Tuesday night as they took part in a double-dual against Creston and Shenandoah. Red Oak lost to Creston 69-6 and to Shenandoah 50-24.
Seth Esaias, Geoff Sellers, Dakota Petty, Tanner Mertz and Felipe Ramirez all had wins during the double-duals. The Tigers will be back in action Saturday to compete in the John J. Harris Tournament in Corning.
In Corner Conference Boys Basketball Tournament action, both Stanton and Villisca lost Tuesday night in the quarterfinals.
Stanton lost to Sidney, 41-33. Jeff Marshall had 12 points and eight rebounds in the loss. The Vikings have now lost six of their last seven.
Villisca meanwhile lost to East Mills 52-33. Travis Herzberg scored 18 points for the Blue Jays in the loss.
Essex was also eliminated from the Corner Conference Tournament Tuesday night as they lost to Fremont-Mills, 57-32.
Jordan Jones scored 10 points for Essex in the losing effort.
Finally, Red Oak bowling competed Tuesday in Creston. We haven't received a final score, but we've been told the girls' varsity team won and the boys' varsity team lost.
